Extensive Online Family Resource Center and Directory Featuring Information

from Newborns to College Bound and Everything in Between

Worcester, MA, mymetroMAMA.com, has launched an online resource and networking community for parents raising kids ages 0-college bound as well as for all others who deal with children and young family needs. As a one-of-kind, centralized resource, metroMAMA offers comprehensive presentation and resources, services, products, topics, social calendar of events, specials and coupon discounts, and time-saving information well categorized and cross referenced for metro parents and families. The spotlight also shines on the site's community building efforts, specifically the ability of visitors to contribute their own parenting ideas, young children's activities, ie, kid friendly restaurants, best camps, perfect finds, etc. as well as adding to the site's extensive directory and resources.

mymetroMAMA is the brainchild of entrepreneur and Mom, Sarah Kyriazis. Kyriazis' need for family-related resources in Worcester County became critical after she had her second child and was looking for an array of family oriented information and resources to make her life easier. She immediately discovered, as have many new moms that deal with family needs for the first time, that there was not one central or easily obtainable directory or resource center for family-oriented needs or information in Worcester County, MetroWest or beyond. Dealing with ongoing frustration and endless research when needing services, products and/or referrals for her children and family, Kyriazis wondered what could be done to make this process simpler and more convenient for young moms and families. Using her technology background, her training and knowledge of the web, as well as her teaching experience, Kyriazis started compiling and categorizing the data she gathered in every stage of her lifestyle and expansion of her family. With the help of her brother, Pete Roberts President of Insyt New Media, www.insyt.biz, who has designed a proprietary user-friendly database tracking application, inControl Management system, Kyriazis started formally building her resource directory and structuring her new business model, initially focusing on Worcester County and MetroWest. Sarah Kyriazis states, "The site was truly influenced by mine and my friends' own surprised experience with isolation raising our own babies and toddlers." Kyriazis continues, "I knew that the needs and concerns of parents or caregivers of children of any age were similar to our own. But until I started telling people about it, I never imagined how big of an impact the site would have in potentially changing the lives of parents from the greater Worcester County, MetroWest area and beyond."
